Visual medium

The visual medium that I am considering for getting my Rhetoric project into the hands of my audience is to create a brochure on Microsoft word. This brochure can be handed directly to the intended audience, or mailed in so that in some way, shape, or form; they will see it and it will be in their hands. That is not the only job of the brochure because in order for it to actually have some kind of effect, it must stand out to the person receiving it. That is why I will need to make it have colors as well as text that stands out and catches the attention of the reader. This idea is very practical because with a medium such as a brochure, I will be able to produce a large quantity of my product at a low cost to where I can reach out to an even larger audience than the one I have intended. Having the ability to produce a brochure that is professionally produced is important to this project because making a brochure that catches my eye is not going to work. Rather, I need to think of what will catch the eye of the audience. If this brochure came in my mail, I would read it and consider the content within it because if I were to have different views on the topic, the basic arguments given to get people thinking about funding in schools given on this medium would get the information in my head about what more is there to the issue. A reason why it wouldn’t be a practical choice is because with mail, people usually look for the most important pieces which include checks, personal notes, bills, and more. That is why making a brochure that actually gets to the audience is a tough task.
