MWA 2 in comparison to changing writing
In Ch. 3 the book points out that you should analyze your writing process. For example, the book talks about making sure you are in a place free from distractions and other tips to help you be successful when writing. I know for me when I write I have to be in the library because it is quiet and I am able to get stuff done. When I started MWA 2 I was in my room and I noticed I was not very productive because I was tempted to watch Tv and do other stuff when I needed to write the paper, so I went to the library and I found that I was more productive. The next step Ch. 3 says is to think about your audience, purpose, context, and text. I know when I wrote MWA 2 I considered and analyzed the audience, purpose, context, and text. When I wrote MWA 2 I made sure I reviewed the assignment and the grading rubric before I started writing. I also based my outline off of the rubric. The process I took to look at the assignment is identical to the process the book describes when the book states that you should look at the assignment to get an idea of what to write. Also, when I wrote MWA 2 I had to research information to support my topic for my paper. I remember having like ten sources and then I narrowed it down to seven solid sources. In Chapter 3 it talks about looking for sources and narrowing them down which is what I did. When writing MWA 2 I started by creating an outline. My outline was pretty basic. My outline contained an introduction, body paragraphs with a sentence about what each one was about, and a conclusion. While reading changing in writing one of the tips the book gives is to create an outline, but the outline provided in the book as an example is much more extensive and elaborate than mine was. In Chapter 3 it suggests brainstorming and free writing are beneficial because they help you come up with more ideas quickly and efficiently. When writing MWA 2 I did not brainstorm, but I rather just started writing my paper. I noticed that as I wrote the paper if I came up with other ideas along the way I would jot them down in a bullet list, so I could use later on in my paper.
