Minor:
This blogger writes about the how he created an already established TV cartoon series and completely fabricated lies about the cartoon. He was able to fool the entire reading platform, and everyone believed his descriptions and fake characters to the point where they started to become angry when google did not have any record of a "Roxie" Street Shark. Minor sheds light on how people believe everything they read on the internet without verification. Major "credible" websites even made the mistake of recording Minor's words, which led to an even larger web of lies. Once people have become aware of this issue, they will not automatically believe whatever it is they are reading.
Lee:
Lee writes about the horrible incident of false accusation due to fake internet "sleuths". Internet users play detective and ultimately accuse innocent Sunil Tripathi of being the evil mastermind behind the Boston bombing. This failure is on social media allowing everyone to voice their opinions and thoughts all the same with no intelligent, expert background. This shines light on the mass majority of people that are allowed to post on the internet and how much this effects everyone that reads their postings. Although internet should not be "monitored" or "restricted", it is necessary that only credible sources give input on serious issues, such as the Boston bombing in this case.
Catacchio:
It is evident that when any major event happens, people comment on the situation before any news anchor can, especially with Twitter. People start inputting their own opinions, thoughts, ideas, and predictions that ultimately can sway a person's point of view with false information. In this case, false happenings were misinforming the general public leaving everyone confused about what the actually events that occurred were. This is so common in our everyday lives. This failure in source can not really be fixed in our world today. People are entitled to their words, and they will never not say whatever they have on their minds no matter how inaccurate it actually is.
