Chapter 9 Changes

After getting some feedback from my Aemulus and reading chapter 9 of Changing Writing, it is clear that I would make some changes both at the surface level of my rhetoric project, and at the structural level of its content. At a surface level, I would have added some text instead of doing strictly just voiceovers the whole time. It would have made the video more dynamic and professional looking. Another thing I could have done is added some type of music in the clips where I wasn't interviewing. I think that I thought it would have too much going on to do music and voiceovers, but now seeing other people's videos and looking at my own again, I think it would have made the video more pleasing to viewers. Other than those few changes, I liked the overall look of my video. Getting down to the structure of the video. Structurally, I wish that I would have interviewed more people so that I could have taken the best answers of everyone and added those in, instead of using the same three people's answers for every question. That can get very repetitive and bore the viewers. I also would have planned more for a nice and sunny day to shoot, because the cloudy weather I had in my interview portions made the shots pretty dull and inconsistent. Also, my last 30 seconds or so did not turn out as planned. I wanted to end the interviews with the phrase "get smart and put down your smartphone", but felt like I needed some sort of break between the interview clip and the clips of all of them saying the phrase. I ended up taking random clips and doing a voiceover of a fact, but it looked and sounded very out of place. I would have just taken that part out completely.
