Progress Report

I am going into this project very quickly. I have been working 4 days a week and prime filming hours often pass before I am out of work. I have also had trouble finding SLU soccer players that are willing to talk about their experience with the sport. I will try to find many different forms of soccer in clip form. Without breaking any copyright laws, I will try to find the best clips of both jubilation and agony over the course of a soccer game with many different camera angles. I am going to interview a few of my peers tonight and tomorrow to get their opinions on soccer as an opening to the video and show off an outsiders' perspective. This project will now show the stark contrast between the perception of soccer and the actual action that is experienced every weekend at fields or pitches around the world. This project is intended to convince people that soccer is a worthwhile sport to watch and enjoy even if they don't necessarily have a favorite team. I am reaching out to Americans who have either never watched soccer or people who have watched some soccer and didn't enjoy the limited offering they got. There's something for everyone when it comes to international soccer, and maybe someday a small child will see this and become the next great American soccer star.
