After reading Chapter 9 of Changing Writing I got a better insight on how to put out good work
that I can be proud of. Mainly, chapter nine talked about self-editing and how
to catch easily caught errors that can dramatically affect writing. I believe I
did a pretty good job of making sure that my video did not have any errors to affect
the general effectiveness of the work, but I did miss some things along the way.
I noticed in showing my video to the class that a lot of my pictures did not exactly
match up with what I was saying. I should have matched the pictures to exactly
what I was saying, and it would have made my video so much better. Also, I think
if this assignment was not just completion graded that I would have started
this assignment weeks in advance due to my lack of movie editing skill. With
this lack of skill and putting it off till sort of the last minute It forced my
project to be somewhat mediocre, but still effective. Overall, I believe if I started
this way earlier I would have been able to add a lot more features that would
have enhanced my overall video. I would have liked to add background music
especially because I feel that if I added a sad background music aspect at the
beginning that it would completely tie everything together. Lastly, I wish that
I spent more time getting accustomed to windows movie maker so that I could
have made the video look a lot more professional. I would have loved to add a
lot of text, transitions, and music but I did not have the experience to do so.
Despite my lack of experience, I believe I put out a pretty effective rhetoric
project.
