Introducing Me

Born in Tirana, Albania -a small peanut shaped country in Europe, west of Greece-, I moved to the States two days before my 2nd birthday. I grew up with immigrant parents who spent so much of their time trying to better our lives. My childhood consisted of moving from apartment to apartment and changing schools almost every year until I was in 4th grade. We settled in Park Ridge, IL where I continued my education. I can officially say that I am an alumna at the very same high school that Hilary Clinton graduated from!

Here, I grew to love chemistry which ultimately made me decide on my major today. I'm not really a fan of the question: why did you choose SLU? But I am sure glad I did. Although I despise my hike from McDonnell-Douglas to Xavier every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I love the feeling of being where I need to be.

When I'm not in school, it's probably summer, so I'm probably laying on the beach in Albania, or walking the streets of Rome, or on a layover in some European country! Since all my family lives in Albania, I am fortunate enough to spend my summers there. Although I might have been to a lot of places in Europe, I have not been anywhere in the States other than some states in the Mid-West and Boston (tragic).
