Purpose: The purpose of this video is simply, to entertain. The person who publishes these vlogs, David Dobrik, films his life to show every Monday Wednesday and Friday to show viewers what he and his friends, known as the vlog squad are doing on a daily basis. Dobrik is rarely actually seen in his vlogs because the purpose is to show the funny or dumb things his friends are doing. He purposely does stupid things with his friends to get views on his videos.
Audience: The audience of Dobrik's vlogs are teens. This is because the length of his videos are all 4:20, a joke about pot, which assumedly, teenagers would understand and find funny. Pre-teens might also be an audience because they have no sense of consequence and think the pranks and stupid stunts he makes his friends do are funny.
Context: The titles of David Dobrik's vlogs are in all caps and are usually sensationalized aspects of the video used as clickbait. The image that shows up when searching the video is the thumbnail, which shows something that draws the audience in, and is a snippet of part of the video. If the titles weren't in all caps, the viewer wouldn't be as interested to dive into the video, and if the thumbnail wasn't as sensationalized, and just the number of the vlog, Dobrik would not get as many views.
Text: The text of this video is found in the scene change intros, not found in this vlog, but in his others, and also in the end of his vlog when he is actually on camera and gives a shoutout to a viewer who has his Twitter/Instagram notifications on. Also, his intro is his name and the number of the vlog. This vlog is his 392, and if that intro was not there the viewer would not know which vlog it is due to the large amount of videos he has already done.
